1. SENIOR DESIGN DRAFTSMAN/ TEAM LEADER

  • With minimum five (5) years relevant experience in façades, cladding, glass and aluminum work.
  • Well versed in AutoCAD 2D/3D design software.
  • With experience in Solid works, 3D Max, Auto disc inventor
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Degree level of education in B.S. Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Studies or equivalent
Job Responsibilites
  • Preparation of concept design, shop drawing, fabrication & as-built drawing.
  • Preparation of three-dimensional models for the purpose of evaluation of design alternatives and material optimization.
  • Interpretation and use of survey data in the design process.
  • Preparation of take-off schedules for the purpose of verification of measure and for use in procurement.
  • Interpretation of architectural & primary steelwork drawings for the purpose of preparation of construction design drawing.

  • Review the drawings and ensure are correctly annotated. And all revisions are clearly marked on all parts of the drawings.
  • A complete history of all drawings is preserved in both hard and soft copy for review.
  • All anomalies encountered during design development and that all changes/ deviations are reported to the Team Leader/Assistance Design Manager.



2. ASSISTANT DESIGN MANAGER

    Job Responsibilites
  • Review shop drawings, fabrication drawings and sketches to facilitate the smooth running of projects and formal submission;
  • Perform and check the material take-off for material ordering;
  • That design development interfacing between façade designers is clear and comprehensive, thus ensuring concise detailed accurate drawings.
  • The drawing register is issued to the planner on a regular basis. This register is indicating drawing status and planned completion dates, overdue approvals …etc.
  • Any deviances, discrepancies and anomalies encountered within the scope of works are reported to Design Manager.
  • Shall distribute all drawings to the relevant parties, once they have been reviewed by Design Manager and have been approved for construction.
  • Attend meetings with contractors, architects, Building Department officers and other consultants;
  • Coordinate and cooper to the relate with other departments to assure smooth running of projects;
  • Approval of the design development output drawings to ensure that it is reviewed and approved and is also provided to the client for approval prior to use.
  • Confirmation of the functionality of the installed works is achieved during commissioning of the system to confirm compliance to the customer’s requirements.
  • Regular review of the contract, method statements, Material /sample submittal special requirements (from specifications etc) and extract design information pertinent to the overall project.
  • Ensure that conceptual drawings issued from the client are developable and that information provided is clear, in that the drawings can be developed by the team with minimal ambiguity.

  • Ensure that regular design workshop meeting & reviews take place between the client, designer and JML, as required.
  • All special requirements of the design are met and implemented i.e. tests that may be required to prove suitability and fit for purpose.
  • The design program complies with Contractual time frames and Milestone dates.
  • Drawings submitted for approval are monitored against time frame allowable, as dictated by the contract (drawing turn around).
  • That design changes are noted, checked and revised in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • That each drawing developed, issued or revised has been checked at all stages as indicated in the attached process diagram and that the client has approved each process.
  • That drawing development is done according to build sequence and site requirements i.e. a drawing production schedule is implemented in conjunction with the planning departments, requirements that have been set in order to achieve program completion, in order to achieved project planned milestones etc.
  • Coordinate with site employees, fabricators and installers to facilitate the process of fabrication and installation works;
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors relating to design aspects;
  • Review project specifications to ensure all design related work compiling with project requirements;
  • Ensure design concept is complied with reviewed budget.

Job Requirements
  • Degree/Higher diploma or above in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Studies or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years solid experience in facade curtain wall field, in which 3 years in project design work management.
  • Strong technical knowledge for project design and product development.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and skillful in related PC operations including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Initiative, self-motivated, well-organized, detail-minded, creative, independent, responsible, strong communication and leadership skills, able to work under pressure and meet deadline.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Sr. Design Draftsman/ Team Leader
